World Buddhist Forum: The 6th World Buddhist Forum will be held in Ning Po, China in October

The Sixth World Buddhist Forum will be held in Ningbo city in eastern China in mid-October. Representatives of the Buddhist world, scholars and special guests from about 70 countries and regions of the world will attend it upon invitation.

This forum will be organized by the Chinese Buddhist Association and the Chinese Religious Cultural Exchange Association. The main theme of this forum is joining hands for coexistence. This forum will have opening ceremony, closing ceremony, main forum, seven sub-forums, prayer religious ceremony and other programs.

This forum will discuss a wide range of topics such as the wisdom of inclusiveness of Buddhism, preservation of religious tradition, collection of scriptures, social responsibility. President of the Chinese Buddhist Association Yenchue said that the main theme of this forum has expressed the commonality and desire of the Buddhist world towards global challenges. World peace, development and prosperity is the common desire of not only the Buddhist world but the entire humanity. The World Buddhist Forum is held every three years. It is the largest multilateral dialogue mechanism of international Buddhism organized by China.
